Jim has fished Geneva Lake for more than 50 years and has spent nearly 40 years guiding anglers on this beautiful lake. As one of the lake’s most experienced guides, Jim knows that success here comes from deep knowledge, time on the water, and understanding the patterns of the fish. More than just a guide, Jim is an educator who enjoys sharing his knowledge, techniques, and passion for fishing with everyone who steps onto his boat.

I’m a seasoned professional who has competed at the highest level, but I chose guiding over tournament fishing because I truly enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion for this great sport with others.
My goal is to make every trip both fun and rewarding by helping anglers learn how to catch more fish, bigger fish, and enjoy every moment on the water. As a multi-species angler and dedicated educator, I take pride in passing along the skills, strategies, and confidence that help others become better fishermen.

Don’t have your own fishing rod? No problem. I provide everything you need for a great day on the water, including the rod, reel, tackle, life jacket, and boat. If you’re new to fishing, I’ll show you how to use the equipment and help guide you on what gear you may want for future trips, along with where to get it so you can enjoy your next fishing adventure on your own.

When you fish with me, you’ll have full access to my tackle and live bait, so there’s no need to drag a heavy tackle box out of storage. JT’s got you covered.
