FAQ's
Ask me anything.
What do I need to know for the day of my trip?
- I will contact you the day before our trip via phone and give you all the details on where and when we will meet and what you should bring. If I am unable to get ahold of you, I will not meet you at the dock. This prevents uncommunicated cancelations.
What do I need to bring?
Valid WI. Fishing license, snacks, what ever you want to drink, non-alcoholic Please. Depending on the weather, sunglasses, sunscreen or raingear.
Do I need to bring my fishing license or can I purchase one on the boat?
You need to bring your fishing license. I do not provide fishing license. This is required by state law. In the case that you forget, we will have to purchase one at a local bait shop and it will detract from the time that you would be fishing.
Do you clean fish?
Yes. Please request this and we will discuss the details. There is no fishing cleaning stations on either Geneva or Delevan. There is an extra fee for cleaning your catch.
What happens when it rains?
I watch the weather very closely and will have a good idea on what the weather will be the day of your trip. When we talk the day before your trip I will let you know if we should cancel and rebook or if you should bring rain gear. This depends on the level of rain. If we can push through the rain, we will. Rain often causes the fish to enter into “feeding mode” and to become more active. If we have any bad storms with high winds or any lightning I do have places we can get off the water. While we are off the boat I keep track of time and give that back to you when we return on the water. If by chance we can not return and have to cancel we will discuss options.
Am I allowed to drink alcohol on the boat?
Please no alcohol. You are my responsibility on the boat and I have had issues and problems with people over indulging in the past, so I would rather we all enjoy a safe sober experience on the water.
